berry collar pin

Collar pins are easy to make and will add a little cheerfulness to your spring wardrobe!
Simple and fun!
What you need:
-Three small covered buttons (I covered mine in a cotton red fabric)
-Stiff green fabric (I used an upholstery sample I had on hand because I liked the texture)
-Embroidery thread in contrasting color
-Sewing needle
-Tie tack pins
-Felt
-Scissors
-Permanent Fabric Glue (Fabri-Tac)

 What to do:
-After you have covered your buttons, arrange them in a triangle and attach them together with a tiny amount of fabric glue.
-Then cut a couple of leaf shapes out of the green fabric.  One should be a little smaller than the other.
-Now take your embroidery thread and hand stitch a line down the middle of each leaf.
-Once both of the leaves are completed, glue them together.  Smaller leaf on top of larger, angled to the side, like a fan.
-Glue the leaves to the back of the berries. (make sure glue doesn't show through the opening in the middle of the berries)
-Cut a small piece of felt to cover the back.  It needs to be small enough so that it doesn't show from the front.
-Now glue it to the back.
-To finish, all you have to do is glue the tie tack pin to the center of the felt.

And just like that you have an adorable spring accessory!
