Happy Mother's Day

I have the best mom in the world and an awesome mother-in-law!  I am so thankful for them and hope they enjoy their special day!
My mom, me, and my mother-in-law
I decided to make them a gift this year.
I was inspired by necklaces I have seen on other blogs, and I thought a wire birds nest necklace would be the perfect mother's day gift.  So I followed a tutorial on how to make the wire nest, and it was way easier than I thought it would be.  Then to make the necklace a little more sentimental I put my metal stamping kit to good use and stamped our names onto blank metal charms.

This is my mom's
My brother Ross, sister Anna, me and Jake.  I had to shorten my name, too many letters...

This is my mother-in-law's
Sister-in-law Jill, Jake and me.  Her fav color is purple so of course I had to use purple beads.

Love you Mom!

dream nooks

I mentioned in a previous post that in my dream kitchen I want there to be a big pot rack.  Well, there will also be a comfy breakfast nook with tons of light pouring in!  Just like in these images that I came across on Pinterest...

prayers needed

I can’t believe it has almost been a week since tornados destroyed many areas throughout my beautiful state.  Please continue to pray for those who lost family, friends, homes, and businesses, as they are trying to rebuild their lives and recover from this tragedy.

My dad helped with the clean up in Pleasant Grove, and these are some of the images he sent me…
Such an overwhelming task so many face.

The devastation caused by the tornados across Alabama and the southeast is heartbreaking.  My prayers are with everyone affected.  I can’t imagine what they must be going through.  I have found myself being so grateful for things I often take for granted and I hope I always remain thankful for the little blessings in life.

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."  Isaiah 41:13
