My Nature Inspired Thanksgiving Table

Like I mentioned yesterday, I am sharing Thanksgiving table setting ideas this week. Today's table is my own nature inspired table setting.  I used things I was given, already had, and found in nature to create this look.

My favorite thing about this table setting is the cotton centerpiece I arranged in an Anthropologie vase!  I have my dad to thank for the cotton!

The candle holders are reclaimed mattress springs from an old mattress my grandparents had. Thanks Monnie and Papa for giving me a few of the springs!  I love the rustic industrial touch they add to the table.

To dress up the simple glasses I tied some acorns around the base with twine.

For the two end seats I decided to make the place mats out of magnolia leaves. I cut a circle out of cardboard and hot glued the leaves so they would overlap in a circle.

I continued the magnolia leaves down the center of the table in a trail to the centerpiece.

The grapevine wreath is recycled from my wedding and works perfectly around the cake stand.

These chair covers are a recent DIY project that I made from a drop cloth. They were really simple to make. I started by cutting the pieces that cover the backs of the chairs. Next I draped the cut pieces over the chair backs and adjusted until I had the correct length.  I then hemmed the edges and added hemmed drop cloth stripes on either side to tie the sides together around the chair.
