hanging candy corn decor

You have probably figured out by now that I can't resist a holiday related craft.

Since I'm not one for scary decor, I thought candy corn would be perfect for a Halloween hanging wall decoration.

To make the candy corns I used an easy salt dough recipe:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 water

Knead well with your hands
Divide into three sections
Shape into three different sizes of candy corn
Bake at 300° for about an hour

After they have fully cooled draw on two lines, with the middle section the widest.

Then paint on yellow, orange, and white acrylic paint.

Now all you have to do is cut three different lengths of ribbon, fold in half and super glue the fold to the back of each candy corn.  Tie all three ribbons together and hang on a nail for a fun addition to your Halloween decor.

Fun, quick, and easy! It's also a great craft for kids!
